So, Boston mistreated and disrespected a guy who brought the city 11 championships? That's some serious bullshyt they got going on in that city.

Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg is from Boston and he was a full blown racist in his younger years. How he went on to become a rapper in the 90's is one of the world's great wonders.

Hearing these stories of how a huge, rich, famous black athlete on the home team is treated, can you imagine how much abuse is directed toward a typical black citizen in this region? I was born in Boston and the only reason many poor Italian and Irish people have any self worth at all is by being taught that some people aren't people.

I went to college in Maine in the early 1990s. I heard stories how up until the very late 1980s rap music was banned from being played on the radio after 6pm in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. If you were driving from Maine to New York, you knew you were almost home when hip hop songs started popping up on your car radio.

Kyrie was right but people don't like him so they criticize him.

Boston has been this way for decades!!! Yet, the textbook response from someone from Boston is: “It’s racism everywhere!” Like it’s really okay to be that way as long as it exists in other places?! WTF?!

Boston didn't fully integrate school’s until 1989, that's how insane those people are.

This is unfortunate. I am a die hard Celtics fan. Chuck cooper was the first black NBA player he played for Boston. The first all black starting lineup in the NBA 1964 - Celtics. Its a disgrace that racist fans attended any game anywhere or anytime

He's right. They appeased germany, downplayed what was going on, and even ignored it to some extent. And then acted as if they were shocked when they discovered what was really going on. Much like today, people find ways to excuse or downplay bigotry so they can sleep at night.
