The fuel consumption of the 115 hp, four-cylinder D2 diesel in the new Volvo S80 with a manual gearbox is now down to a class-leading 4.1 l/100 km (EU Combined, preliminary figures), which translates into CO2 emissions of 108 g/km - unthinkable in a car of this size only a few years ago. The corresponding figures with the automatic gearbox are 4.1 l/100km and 109 g/km (preliminary figures). To emphasise the scale of the engineers' achievement, this is the same CO2 emission level for Volvo's largest saloon as for the company's smallest car, the C30 DRIVe, only three years ago.
The new Volvo V70 D2 has class-leading fuel consumption at 4.2 l/100 km (111 g/km) with the manual and 4.3 l/100 km (112 g/km) with the automatic gearbox (preliminary figures).
The automatic D3 (136 hp) and D4 (163 hp) versions of the Volvo S80 now have CO2 emissions of 129 g (4.9 l/100 km). The corresponding figures for the V70 D3 and D4 are 130 g (4.9 l/100 km).
In the new Volvo XC70, both the D5 (215 hp) and the D4 (163 hp) versions with manual gearbox and All Wheel Drive come with fuel consumption at 5.3 l/100km (139 g/km).

The S80 with the 1.6-litre GTDi (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection) engine T4 (180 hp) and automatic gearbox has fuel a consumption of 7.1 l/100km (165 g/km). The corresponding figure for the V70 T4 is 7.2 l/100 km (168 g/km).

The automatic D3 (136 hp) and D4 (163 hp) versions of the new Volvo S60 and V60 now come with CO2 emissions of 129 g/km (4.9 l/100 km).
The new Volvo XC60 has also been improved, with both the D5 (215 hp) and the D4 (163 hp) versions with a manual gearbox and All Wheel Drive, delivering a combined fuel consumption of 5.3 l/100 km (139 g/km).

I like the looks. I have owned several Volvo's, an E-Class and a 5 series but Volvo's just have this unique quirky feeling the Bavarians never had. My next car will also be a Volvo, probably the S60 R-design. :)

Still better looking than the rest of the line up.

I continue to be amazed at the amount of BMW and AUDI drivers who love their cars to bits and swear by them, but when they get in a Volvo, they fall in love... Instantly !

It looks like the s80 concept, all manufactures are trying to have one "face" across all models these days. I like it personally

I like them but the s60 and s80 reminded me of the new passer first time I saw them! That's a good looking car also though so no big deal, but I do like the current S60 alot and it's difficult to improve on

I love everything about the Volvo S60, gorgeous interior, absolutely stunning, its an amazing car but they really do need that pole star version and maybe another C70 made by pole star. We need safe coupes too! Lol

Good work Volvo, how do you improve on perfect? I like the way it drives dominating the road solid as a rock! No compromise on safety and handling yet economical however packed with technology the average driver wouldn't understand and sales representative could not remember the technology so many or understand it due to technical limitation or education. I ask the critics to read learn and try to do better.

Always getting better, keep up the good work and don't fall for the orwellian automated kitchen appliance on wheels, Volvo.

Beautiful interior detailing and tactility. I've always loved Volvo's rear light designs. The front of the S/V60 looks a bit awkward, but the rest of the model line up looks great. I didn't think they could improve the XC60, but they have.

We have the 2012 XC60 and I feel as if the new 2013 face is a tad too aggressive for the car. But that might just be because I've gotten used to the outgoing XC60!

You can't take one to be an example of the entire company.

The average life span of a Volvo is 18 years and 180, 000 miles. I've owned nearly a dozen Volvos, and only one ever gave me any meaningful troubles - and that didn't happen until it had 200, 000 miles on it and was 16 years old.

However, there is a different maintenance philosophy with Volvos: you actually need to maintain them!! The average Toyota does not last as well, but you have less forced maintenance (some call them repairs...)

Their new front ends remind me of the old Hyundai Azera, what the hell is this?
