I'm a Nexus user and I swear by Nexus' stock Android after being left out in the cold by few OEMs lack of updates. But really, Google blew it up by going to 6" without any reasoning to it to make it sense. For those reasons, I think that the Moto X 2014 is currently THE phone to get right now.

My Nexus 6 doesn't have the pink tone, and you guys should mess around with the device before you keep pushing this type of statement out.  Some people believe EVERYTHING you all post.

Michael really doesn't like the 5 does he? #slammed

I'm content with my nexus 5, I'm not ready to take the leap into phablets.

Plus I have a dirt cheap contract.

The only phone that would make me wanna get rid of my 5 is a stock android phone with a fantastic camera, I guess I'll wait for the next nexus.

I was never going to buy the Nexus 6 even before it was announced, as I'm still very happy with my Nexus 5, and I'm not the kind of guy who upgrades every year. But seeing how large the 6 is just made it much easier for me to not want it.

"The size makes it harder to use in almost any state." Well, I hope it works in Maine...

Nice insights but I've been enjoying my nexus 6 thus far. No regrets going with the 6 over the 5. I actually like the size.

Great video, as expected though. But I'd just like to say, that shot at 4:18 was awesome. Bajillion thumbs up from me

Ok I just want to make an updated comment because I feel its important and I am not one to deny issues when they occur.  I said in my previous comment last month that I was having zero burn in issues.  The whole time ive owned the phone ive been using screen burn in tool from the play store to try and detect burn in and its shown nothing.  A guy responded to my last comment saying he didnt think there was burn-in until he tested it using the amoled burn-in fixer app from the play store to test for burn-in.  I replied saying I used screen burn-in tool and saw nothing.  After making that reply I decided to try out the app he said because I was curious to see what that showed and I was expecting it to show nothing.  I found out from using that app that there was actually some navigation bar burn in.  That disappointed me quite a bit but I decided to just use the same app to try and fix it and after ten minutes of using the apps built-in fixing tool the burn in is completely gone.  So if you have a nexus 6 already and you do not think you have any burn in please use the amoled burn-in fixer app to test for it and of there is in fact burn in use the same app to try and fix it.  Other than the burn-in I have had no issues with the phone the thing about the pink tint is the same from last month.  It only happens when adaptive brightness is on.

9:33 I like Fisher's sign-off in this "... urging you to keep your speakers front and your branding bold."

Nexus 6 just makes no sense at 650$ price. Just doesn't. It is not 300$ dollar better phone than 5, and when compared to other 600-700$ phones like Sony Z3 or LG G3 or iPhone 6 it is just ugly and lacks some pretty humble but basic features like: FM radio (is that so hard to put in a phone ok cutting corners for 350$ but for 650$? really?) better dialer, dialer on a lollipop is just not smooth like on lets say a HTC, do it is better than on kitkat, better camera, why a mediocre one, Sony, Apple and LG made small masterpieces for that kind of money, and I know that phones that come with your phone are usually not that good but is it so hard to put a set of some mediocre ear buds wit it, this is not a budget phone anymore. Why is Nexus 6 any better than its main rivals other than huge screen? It just isn't 200-400 MHz difference just mean nothing when all of them work well, plus its not bug free because it does have hangups here and there.

As much as I love my Nexus 5, I can't stress enough how much I hate the battery life. It rarely gets past 2, 5h of SoT after half a year of usage. And it's gotten even worse with lollipop update, sometimes I can't even achieve 2h mark. And it started to bug down a little - while escaping some apps, the launcher needs to reload. Does anyone else have similar problems?

Hey Michael. Your reviews and comparisons are extremely unbiased and very informative and well done. Keep up the great work! Also would you consider making a video about the best smartphone cameras?

excellent review, which tool or app did you use to teste the displays?

If you have Jump from T-Mobile and use the yearly upgrades, as long as you haven't destroyed your previous phone, you can essentially get a phone at half-price with yearly upgrades, because you pay off only half of the previous phone and trade in the previous phone for the other half. It is awesome, I'm doing this with my S5, and upgrading to a Nexus 6.

I know this video is not related to the Moto X and the Moto X is not an official Nexus device, but I have to say that the Moto X 2014 is the perfect Nexus phone with it's 5.2 inch 1080p display. I know the battery is small, but it lasts nearly the same as the Nexus 6.

The Nexus 6 camera doesn't have any less noise, it uses different settings. Download L Camera (not in play store, but from github) and set them manually to the same settings and then you can judge the cameras.
