I made this trip a few months ago in a 22-year-old 4runner. No snow but tons of giant holes in the road. I also drove from NY. I did it on a whim after a buddy questioned what I was going to do with my wife's uncle's old truck after he passed. I told him I was going to fix it and drive it to Deadhorse Alaska. So I did. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Haven't watched all of this yet but hopefully the Tundra engine didn't let go! Toyota have to replace 100, 000 of them !!

Thanks! This is a very exciting video! Now, for your collection, you need to drive to the Arctic Ocean from Russia. And there in the northern cities in winter the temperature reaches -120 F. And in my city there are such desperate travelers on prepared off-road vehicles who go on such expeditions to the far north in winter, and even there was such a thing that they repaired the engine right in the tundra at a temperature of -100 F (closing with a polythene and heating the space) when the connecting rod broke off from the piston on one of the cylinders. So welcome to Russia, there are places very similar to Alaska in winter.

Gentlemen, i want to file a complaint. At the 3:02-3:05 mark in the video, our lovely presentor opened the door, grabbing the handle from below. That made me feel weird. End of complaint. Awesome video btw.

Great adventure. Did you turn around a few months later and go back and meet up with TrailRecon, or was this the same trip?. From TrailRecon, it looked like a few months later. Either way, it was a great video

THE NEW TUNDRA WOULD LOOK NICE WITH A NEW ALU CAB, YOU DO A FEW TRIPS ALONE.

Ever since childhood, Alaska has been calling me, no where else on earth comes close to Alaskas beauty, the sheer wilderness, northern lights in the winter, land of the midnight sun in the summer, as yet never got out there but before I’m 50 in three years I will be out there . Absolutely stunning .

In May of 2019 I made the journey from NYC to Anchorage Alaska with Dad, sister and niece and loved every moment of. That was our last family road trip before my dad passed away in April of this year from his battle with cancer. I'm definitely looking forward to another trip to Alaska and this might be the next venture. Oh and thanks for being a part of the Android fan👍🏾
