Thank you for your Effort. Until here all worked fine - I use a workstation without wifi adapter and vmware workstation 16. Had some trouble to set up the Adapter but in the end it worked with a bridged connection (i use the standard vmnet0 for that) and another adapter set to LAN segment for building a isolated network for the vmware guests. Under DNS Configure i had not to use the autodiscoverd IP (this was from the bridged connection) - i was successful with manually setup the 192.168.1.1. SCCM VM set to the same Lan Segment worked instantly.

To anyone who is wondering, for the pre req, there is now a downloadable exe on technet. This will install everything you need automatically.

At 24:25, avoid using an admin account (especially not a domain admin account as shown here). For one thing, this would make this account vulnerable to Kerberoasting attacks. Secondly, the password for this account will be stored on the server (DPAPI). If the server is compromised, the domain would also be compromised.
Use the SYSTEM account on the server instead, much safer.

Hi, I am an IT professional. I saw your video on Youtube and i am trying to upgrade my SCCM SKILL, so i use this LAB as a basic. And you are sending me to Dell suppor team :P
Pretty strange, but it doesn`t matter. I will solve it myself. Your virtual LAB has hidden issues.

the most difficult part is to find all those install files.

When I try to join domain from SCCM it says "the domain could not be found or doesn't exist"?

I followed ur video..the problem i am facing is When in Routing I am selecting NAT and giving my AD server name it always resolves to the IP from external network and does not select the IP of my lab. Therefore internet on my sccm and other servers in VM is not working while the intranet is fine.

"we're gonna set our SQL service to itadmin" - in production please do not do this.

Your SQL server does not need domain admin rights and the moment you do this a service principal name will be created, which will persist even if you then change the service account associated with the service.

Instead, create a managed service account for it with appropriate permissions (not DA).

On a lab, do what you like :)

I followed your first video and did the same settings. But on second server that is sccm, it's not able to join the domain. The error is "The Specified domain does not exist or could not be contacted." Trust me I followed the first video and the settings are same. I tried to play with DHCP but nothing worked. Please help.

How did your SCCM server connects to the internet without setting up the IPv4 static IP, Subnet, default gateway and primary DNS?
My SCCM server have internet unless I setup the IPv4 Static IP. Set the Default Gateway and primary DNS to DC IP address of the VMnet19
