Homemade Vegan Pizza 🍕🌿

Dough:
-300g (2 1/2 cups) flour
-1 cup of warm water (105-110F)
-1 packet of active dry quick yeast
-2 tbs olive oil
-1 tbs sugar
-1/2 tsp salt

Sauce:
-5oz tomato sauce
-2 tbs tomato paste
-2 tbs olive oil
-1 tbs sugar
-1 tsp dried oregano
-1 tsp dried basil
-1 tsp onion powder
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp salt
-1 tsp black pepper

Toppings:
-vegan cheese, caramelized onions, mushrooms, artichoke, sun-dried tomato, fresh basil

Instructions:

Dough:
-place 1 cup of warm water in a small bowl
-add in sugar and yeast; mix well until all clumps are gone
-allow to sit at room temp for 5 minutes while the yeast activates (you will see a layer of foam at the top to know it activated)
-in a large bowl, add 300g of flour, salt, olive oil, and the activated yeast water
-mix well with a large spoon for 1 minute until well incorporated
-once formed into a single and smooth dough ball, drizzle olive oil down the sides of the bowl
-cover the bowl with a damp kitchen towel and allow the dough to rise at room temp for 2 hours

-in a small sauce pan or bowl, add in all the listed ingredients and mix will

Pizza:
-preheat the oven to 450F
-lightly dust a pizza tray with flour
-for a thin crust, split the dough in half
-place the dough ball in the center of the tray
-use your fingers to press down on the dough and inch it towards the edge; flour hands as needed to prevent sticking
-while pushing outwards, turn the tray as you go
-continue this process until you get the desired thickness; leave a thicker edge for the crust
-top with sauce and desired toppings
-bake on the bottom level of the oven for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown
-garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!
