Welcome to The Woolly Thistle YouTube channel! We're a small online only shop located in beautiful West Lebanon, New Hampshire. We love yarns with a story and invite you to join us in a little woolly wanderlust while we share the stories about our yarn producers, where the wool comes from and how the yarns are made.

In our Shopcast episodes we share our knitting adventures, tips and tricks that we've learned over the years and new yarns, books and goodies from the shop. We also have segments from some of our staff members sharing their projects, in addition to regular guest contributions from:

Got a sweet email yesterday saying you miss me, hoping I am ok. Well I’m in a grieving time of life since my husband was in hospitals for 4 months, and subsequently passed away. Recovering for me with all that follows has been extremely difficult. I couldn’t pick up my needles at all since he was sick. I did order the sock bag and hope to begin some socks which are the only project I can do without over focusing as on a sweater. I watch your episodes when you come on. I don’t have girlfriends so I am happy to see every new show! I am hoping as things calm down in my life, I will find happiness in more projects. Hoping to make a Felix pullover some day! 💕💕💕

I’ve felt a connection with your channel for a long while😁first when we were living in South Carolina you were my New England “friends” since I’m from Connecticut where we returned last year. Added to that I love Scotland and have always wanted to visit so watching you is so much fun, we lived in Germany for several years when my husband was in the Air Force we saw much while over there but never made it to Scotland my big news?? I’m an Australian who loves woolly wool too. We have wonderful woolly wools here and there are many countries who also have fantastic woolly wools. I applaud your love of the natural, the way in which you work to ensure all knitters are included in the love of knitting and crochet and your mission to help us all become better knitters by loving our work as we improve on our knitting journey. Yay for our friends the sheep, alpacas, goats, rabbits, camels, yaks and all the other furries who help us to live a warmer, woollier life.

My Knitting Buddy Group is still going, meeting every Thursday. We have recently added 2 new members. So always happy to expand the group. So wonderful to have others to chat about knitting and patterns and yarn. Several of the group have joined your recent sweater KAL.
