Simu Liu really is Shang-Chi. I know he had some martial arts background, but not to this extent. He trained his ASS off for the role (props to Ande Le and his crew for training Simu). It’s great to see Simu put in the extra work because not a lot of actors will go that far especially at his age. They’ll probably get trained here and there and get the basics down, but that’s the most for them. So huge props to Simu Liu. He’ll be a fantastic addition to the MCU family, and I can’t wait to see more of him. I want to see him utilize those acrobatics he did too.

Shang-Chi's father is probably one of the best Marvel villains, up there with Loki and Mysterio. I was completely engaged in his story, and the way all of his evil stemmed from the huge weight of guilt he felt seemed so raw and real. He started out wanting domination, but his use of the 10 rings after his wife's death was based on his guilt and anger surrounding her murder. The way he gave the rings to his son at the end was an admission of his fault, and a way of hoping that his reign of terror would come to an end. I also love the movie's open question of "What exactly are the rings and where did they come from?" Shang-Chi is a fantastic addition to the Marvel cinematic universe! I kinda wish he and Iron Fist would team up 😭

I’m an African-American I was ecstatic when Black Panther was made for the theatre 🎭 Now (Shang Chi ) . l love 💗 it ! Every child and adult should see themselves in a superhero. I can’t wait for part 2 of Black Panther or Shang Chi legend of the 10 rings.
