This is just the physical aspect. But every image of Gods in Hinduism represents something deeper. Kali's black face represents Tamas, white teeth represents Satva, & red tongue represents Rajas.. That means she is the supreme being, who governs all the 3 Guna's.. She represents the endless universe, the ultimate energy, & the ruthless cycle of time.. ❤ Sanatan Dharma is way more complex than one can even imagine.. There's always more beyond these stories..

Both stories are true. First Maa Kaali kills Raktabeej and drank his blood, but her anger took over her. Even after killing Raktbeej she was not satisfied and she wanted to destroy the world. So Shiva lie down under her feet and her tongue sticked out. Kaali's tongue represents the status of her anger. If her tongue is in, her anger is out of control and if her tongue is out, her anger is in control of her.
