The reason Woodkid's music has such a good response from his listeners is because his music is so different from other artists and they allow every individual listener to decode the message and image he is trying to get through differently in their own way. His music is so amazing because it allows the listeners to come up with a meaning for themselves since the lyrics are so poetic. Love this music.

This song was one of the only songs to ever make me cry. The crescendo came as a complete surprise, and I remember the first time I heard it, I was shaken to my core.

This is a perfect song for my last love. I thought it would be something forever. We used to spend days by the shore because he worked at the beach, and I would always be just thinking about how perfect everything was. He gave me a moon lamp on the night of a blood moon, and he knows how much I love the moon. Stargazing at the beach with a cigarette right outside the tent, my feet buried in the sand, it all seemed like it would have lasted forever. Eventually, we had to breakup because we were just ruining each other because it was a long distance relationship, and he couldn't bear the distance. If in the future, we can both be together, maybe... But these past few months not thinking about it was easier. I love your songs and how you paint such vivid colors because you've seen those colors. It all sounds so great because we know it comes from somewhere deep like the ocean you sing of so fondly in this album. You'll forever be an artist that I love, simply because your words are enough. Your voice, the piano composition in this track, and the words, oh the words. I wish you were somehow my friend and I can listen to you while you're writing music.

One of my favorite art pieces I’ve made was a psychedelic poster based on this song. It was a project for my art class that I took in freshman year (which I wasn’t supposed to be yet in but I loved it nonetheless).
It def could be a thousand times better, but I tried my best and was proud with how it came out, and it was the first time I actually enjoyed painting.
I would 100% remake it, this song brings me that much motivation to create.

I think if I had to listen to one song before I pass away, it will be this one. Masterfully orchestrated, crafted with thought in every note, every instrument, the special effects...it's perfect. Absolutely fucking perfect.
