We often talk about the latest expensive mountain bikes on GMBN and are often asked to feature cheaper, more entry-level bikes on the channel. So what do you get for your cash when going for entry level or a mid level bike? We teamed up with Polygon to show a few examples of what materials and components you can find on these types of bikes.

Next vid: 500 euro hardtail vs 1000 euro hardtail. That would be an interesting vid

Entry at 2k, Mid range at 3k... gulp I'm definitely not living on the same planet 🥴

Cool to see polygon getting out there and sponsoring so much content this year. Certainly making some really accessible and beautifully painted bikes. Definitely has me looking at them a little more closely than in years past.

The way you said the prices was so strange, it almost seemed like you didn't want to say hundred or thousand. I have no idea why. Edit: didnt help that blake seemed to drop a digit in dollars making it sound like it was a 300 dollar bike

I really like alloy / metal frames. I can't get around spending so much for a carbon frame and then live in the terror of cracking it. I'm not shy of running alpine trails with plenty of sharp pointy rocks. This summer my alloy frame got scratched pretty good and I'm fairly worried a carbon would have cracked and made me cry hard. For the scratches on alloy the solution is easy: by a ton of GMBN stickers and cover the scratches! Better than new! (Yes I've just got my stickers yesterday and will apply them ASAP).

Polygon bikes are definitely some of the best value bikes out there

Polygon Reppin'! Love my Siskiu N8. No other brand could beat the price for the spec. Couldn't really ask for more for my first full sus, as someone with a restricted budget.

Hey guys, thank you for the review. I've got a D7 a month ago and already upgraded it - installed new blue grips))) it's a very good bike and I enjoy riding it very much.

Great video as always, even if Polygon is not available in Canada, i would like to see a comparison between a 2021 entry level full suspension and a 8-10 years old top tire bike

I’m so grateful for this review. I did my research and preordered the D7 dropper post edition three days before this review. I respect you guys and your opinions on bikes so I was really nervous clicking on the video but tremendously relieved to know I didn’t make a bad choice. This is my first full suspension bike and I didn’t want to be disappointed with the quality for the price.

I run a Siskiu T8. I have upgraded the basics and put volume spacers in both forks and rear shock. These are amazing bikes for the money. Yes I'd like a full carbon dual sus bike but the covid tax has put these out of reach of most people. My T8 is solid, reliable and perfect for my skill.

Polygon is definitely onto something with their bike selections. Now if they can only keep them in stock long enough for me to pick up an XL.
