World History BEFORE 1200 [AP World History Review]

This year the new AP World History curriculum has undergone a big change, and we're starting in the year 1200CE (AD). In this video I try to bring us all up to speed with everything that was cut out including the Neolithic Revolution, the rise of early empires, the classical age, the rise and spread of religions, etc.

You can think of it as AP World Unit 0. This school year I'll be releasing new videos every week for then in units of the AP World History curriculum so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it.

To be clear: none of this material will show up on the AP World History exam in May, but it's here just to give some context to the beginning of our classes.

Our WHAP only had a teacher for a month and for the rest of the year we had no teacher to teach us, the last words he left us was use heimlirs videos, and man have you helped a lot. This channel is a godsend. After 5 years, I'm finally doing an online school to get my diploma. Better late than never. I've found that the lessons online don't even begin to cover what they ask on the quizzes. Let's hope these videos will do the trick!

I took AP world last year and am loving the throw back. Whether or not it made the class more difficult, I'm glad I took it when all the content pre dating 1200 was on the test. Some of my favorite content was in the classical and beginning of the post classical era.
