Taliban rulers go hardline in Afghanistan ordering full implementation of sharia law

Nearly 15 months after they returned to power in Afghanistan, the Taliban have ordered full implementation of sharia law in the country. The group’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in a tweet on November 13, 2022, that judges have been asked to follow punishments prescribed by the Islamic legal code, including executions, stonings, floggings and amputations of limbs for crimes such as theft.

Imagine how many talented Afghanistan women never being put into proper use to serve their country simply because Taliban won’t let them. The country needs people to rebuild and yet Taliban waste nearly half of human resource. This isn’t about right or wrong. This is just stupidity.

The War in Ukraine and tensions in Central Asia and Taiwan really gave the Taliban a sort of advantage here:
Less people are paying attention to them now, media isn't covering what's been happening there as much and they can do more of what they want to do, like implementing their "laws and order". Less Scrutiny.

Sharia laws should make it even harder for punishment to be meted out because of the requirements for evidence are very stringent. Even acts of theft due to life hardship is not punishable with amputation.
