M-class X-ray Solar Flare of 2010-11-06 (171 Angstroms)

The X-ray solar flare measuring M5.4 - a long-duration, multiple flare event on November 6, 2010. The solar flare started at approximately 1532 UTC (2010-11-06), and peaked 1536 UTC at the strength of M5.4. The flare originated in the NOAA Active Sunspot Region 1121.
The movie is captured at the 171-Angstroms wavelength filters by the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA).
There was coronal mass ejected into space, but it may not be directed toward Earth. This flare did cause an R2-level radio blackout on the sunlit side of Earth (this means that shortwave radio signals were "blocked" for about an hour).
