"The world is freezing over. If humanity is to survive, we have to finish these generators."
"Makes sense to me!"
"Then get back to work."
"We're on strike! :)"

These madmen nailed the soundtrack once again.

Fun fact, the run I got the "All Along the Watchtower" achievement I had exactly 3 people left in my colony, all of which were engineers. We finished the generator just as the sea froze over so I literally just sat and watched all 500+ convicts I had (a large portion of which hadn't even committed any crimes) descend into chaos and starvation over the next week.

"Thank you for for your outstanding service to the Imperial Exploration Company, you are all relieved from duty and your sentences have officially been lifted.

_God have mercy on your souls..."_

I love that it essentially follows the same path of The City Must Survive

I feel it following the City Must Survive makes sense, it's a bit different sure, but it's appropriate because the struggle associated with The City Must Survive would not even be possible without your efforts so... You must not fail. Ironically this is what you're fighting for at that point. A chance. And not necessarily for yourselves, for someone else most likely. Your workforce and you yourself possibly died in the ensuing chaos that destroyed civilization. But if you succeeded here you made a contribution to the survival of humanity in the process. And I think this also reflects in the theme. It feels heroic, in some ways even noble. You are the true heroes, the ones who gave humanity a chance to survive, to make it. And you will most likely never even be remembered.

This theme is breathtaking. And the moment, when you have to wait with your 200 people for evacuation, with no sources of food and coal, when the weather is too cold that your people are catching illnesses one by one, but your medics can't recover them all... when their motivation is falling but they don't lose their hope. And you, their boss, their captain, are guiding them...

I REALLY like how this incorporates both the new soundtracks and elements from "The City Must Survive". It creates a surreal music score. Love it.

Me: "Motivation is high, working conditions are safe, no need to overreact"
Game: "Sir, those ungrateful bastards started a strike for no reason"
*New Company Rules are in Place!*

When you're a forager and come back to the work camp after a week-long expedition in the ever-cooling weather, only to find that the harbor has frozen over,  all workers have been imprisoned and are being forced to work in deadly conditions by armed engineers, and this is playing in the background.

This track really captures that esscence of panic you descend into late game, realizing that the shipment stop coming in, you cant order more men, its getting colder, youre running out of food

The City Must Survive! ... But a bit more softly this time. We're just the set up crew and it's not even that cold yet... *shivers*

This game, man. In the ending I was like: "Work to the death! May god have mercy on your souls, for I have none!"

I passed it. I had only one engineer and one prisoner. I had thousands of food, but I lost all my coal. There were a lot of people, but they died in a few days. These both stayed for 2 days, and finally were saved. It was the most epic endgame in my fucking live

Piotr Musial has become one of my favourite composers. Ever since I heard Slopes of Blessure the first time in Blood and Wine. Marcin Przybylowicz and P.T. Adamczyk are also among my favourites. I adore their work in the Witcher franchise and can't wait to see what they have in store in Cyberpunk 2077. Damn these Poles are good at art.

Christ i swear the music in this game makes it feel a lot more tense than things actually are in game

I was having a hear at the track "Water Tower" from Interstellar, which have a shit ton of views right now, and right at the build-up epic moment i was thinking : "man this shit is actually pretty good indeed, but it remembers me that track of Last Autumn somehow, which i think is on the same scale of epicness and beauty." Came here to listen once more and yeah, it def. is.

S/O from France to the composer man.
