My father told me from before the time I could comprehend what he was even saying, “you’ll never get rich working for someone else son”. I’ve had my own businesses since I was 18 and have been 100% self employed and an employer since the year 2001. While it is amazing building something for yourself and your employees, it is NOT easy at all, and if you fail you’ve got no one else to blame but you... Best of luck my young brothers and sisters

👏👏👏 It's funny that he mentioned that employers don't mind building and bettering yourself.

Mines do. When I started my current job, I got an opportunity to train in Cultural Performance which is an area that I love. My boss told me that I shouldn't be focused on improving myself but focused on making his business my number one priority.

So what the man said really hit home because right now I building someone else's legacy and not my own..

*I'd presume college debt and the commonplace poor money management is reason number 2 & 1 respectively*

I'm 28 and just got laid off from my job. But I do have just over $20k saved up at least. And I only owe about $7k in student loans. I'm slowly paying it off and was going to pay it all off once I had like $35k saved up.

I agree with mostly everything that was said. However the part that should be ur legacy SHOULD be the teachings, jewels & what u leave behind in this world to make it better. That said, if u have children, then ur children should be ur legacy. If they are good men & women & they pass on the teachings that u taught them to their children, so forth & so on. Everything else I believe will fall into place

🤨 don’t have bills? Older millennials(1981-1995) are in there late 30’s we have households, student loans, marriages aging parents etc. 20 year olds are Centennials 1996-2010 they are just now starting out graduating high school etc.
