i grew up loving man man... they got me through the worst of times, and listening to their chaotic melodies really helped me through all my struggles with many mental illnesses. life fantastic helped me cope through a lot of personal shit, and i'm forever grateful for them. honus, you beautiful soul, if i ever get to meet you again, i'm kissing you on the mustache. to see them put out a new album now after so many years is a straight up miracle. im forever thankful to have this new album to drown out the never-ending pandemic depression.

So no shit, when I was in college, I was in a musical based around "what if Jack the Ripper was actually a woman/the last woman killed (hence the reason the murders stopped) set to the music of Man Man. And since Honus Honus was totally on board with it happening (even saying that we couldn't use specific songs if it was ever put on "legit" because of different labels), every time I hear them, I wonder how a song would work for it.

That all comes behind the fact that I'm immediately happy to hear more Man Man.

This song/video hits me hard.
I'm a single father who had to take full custody because my ex-wife was bipolar and neglected her meds. Her mania escalated to psychosis and now she is schizoaffective.
And now? I don't even want to know how she's doing. My daughter and I are better than ever with her out of the picture.
That's how this song fits me.
