Hard to believe these gems came out 8 years ago, absolutely loving the corrosion protection they put on the underbody of these

I don't care what anyone says, this just looks like a quality well built WORK truck. I love the fact that I don't have to compromise a roomy crew cab for dry storage and passengers for a larger cargo box. By the time you drop a fuel transfer tank and a tool box in a 5-8 bed, you barely have any room for anything else. I'll be locking down a LT crew cab 6.5 box with the 5.3 just as soon as I test drive one.
I can't wait to roll a 2014 up on the job site. My commutes to work are going to be sweet!

My dads 05 has 250, 000+ miles and has been a daily driver and pulls all the quads to the deer lease and its still running strong and i am gladly going to take the keys in 7 months while he is driving the 2014 or 2015. CHEVY ALL THE WAY!!!!

My Boss has been running a Chevy fleet for years, and has trucks over 200, 000 miles. A friend of mine got a Ford truck and had to replace the engine at 70, 000. at his own expense. Im now enjoying my 2012. Handles like a sports car. Laugh if ya want. I love my Chevy.

I love my Ford and like the new F150's that are out right now, but unless Ford really blows me away with their next generation truck, i.e. Atlas concept, I very well might be going the way of one of these. Truck looks amazing, has tons of new features, and has all the power to boot. Really impressed...

I totaled an 08 last December. I hit some black ice and rolled and spun. The cab probably saved my life.

You're right man. In my opinion, GM is the last of the truck makers that actually makes a true truck. There's too many people in the truck market nowadays that want a truck to be luxurious, which is just stupid.

I wish my z71 looked like this lol. I really like the z71 in the rpm gauge, it gives it more of a "specialty" look, kind of like buying a z06 or zr1 corvette.

Where you getting your numbers from? The new 5.3 is rated at 16 city and 23 hwy which is higher than Ford, Dodge, Nissan and Toyota not to mention is has highest tow rating and puts down the best power curve numbers and it did it with a pushrod N/A motor something Ford, Nissan and Toyota can't say.

6.2 liter = 383 ci. Same engine i have in my 98 tahoe with 400+ kilometers on her and still hardly a spec of rust... i will be buying the new 6.2 to carry on the tradition as soon as it comes out!

GM has sold more pickups per year than ford for atleast two decades! all you have to do is add the Silverado and Sierra sales numbers.
