Still sounds EXACTLY the same as he did in the retro reviews from the 80s lol

It's probably a waste of time to write this but I've owned both Ford and Chevy trucks and nothing beats the Chevy for all around usage. I have a 2011 ExtCab LTZ 4X4 w/a 6.2L V8 and no truck I've ever owned compares - period. I'll be buying another truck next year and look forward to test driving all of them. I'll be truly impressed if something beats what I have!

I keep seeing the ones from the early and mid 2000's disappearing, but the 90s trucks I still see rolling down the road. Goes to show what direction quality is going

I love my Silverado. I’ve wanted a truck for years, glad I picked the Chevy. Ford and ram are good but something about the Silverado is just that much better.

LS engines... some of the best engines out there.

This would be what I would buy when the time comes. I had a 1995 Silverado Extended Cab, 350 engine. Over 400, 000 miles. I sold it and the guy that bought it is still driving it. Bought a 2005 Silverado 4 door in ‘07 with 70, 000 miles at the time. It couldn’t be financed so I got a great deal. It’s an LS with the bulletproof 5.3 engine. I’m at 200, 000 miles and the only thing I’ve replaced is a battery and a water pump. The water pump was only $130 and I was able to finish the job in right under an hour. They make these trucks really easy to work on

Do you have any retro road test reviews of any 2007 - 2013 Chevy Silverado trucks besides the hybrid you already posted? I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 4WD Crew Cab LT Z71 with the 5.3 V8.

Why you no longer include the acceleration and braking distance on your videos? like what you used to do on your old videos in the early 2000's, 90's and 80's.

I bought a 2014 Silverado LT crew cab 4X4 new. It currently has only 35, 000 miles on it. It's been great. I'm nearly 60 years old, if I was smart, I'd run this truck forever. It's smooth, quiet & powerful. Why upgrade?

I've owned several Fords but I've been highly disappointed with the VCT 5.4.... amongst other issues (which all seem to be common problems). My 04 and 07 F150s were just horrible trucks. I love Ford's styling but I've found more reliability and less maintenance with GM's simple OHV engines. Working on my OHC F150 is a nightmare compared to GMs OHV. I hope Ford has vastly improved them....the 97-03 truck was very solid.

And then the 2019 came out and it went all to hell

Awesome! It makes me very happy to hear that the 5.3 V8 gets better fuel economy and can tow more than fords stupid ecoboost v6.

I've owned a 2008 silverado LT 5.3 z71 since 2010 . It now has 204000 miles on it . Rebuilt the transmission at 156000 miles . I've pulled a boat around since I've had the truck . Other them regular maintenance I can honestly say I can get another 100 k miles easily, I've changed the o2 sensors and starter I've had to change 2 times.. Truck has been great .. the plastic pile of shat interior is another thing haha

Personally I prefer the 2007 to 2013 models over the new ones. GMT 900s still look great to this day.

I have heard so many mixed reviews on the ecoboost. Especially those who work them...and those who just cruise them. Great performer if it never sees a trailer... disappointment when under load.

I have the 2015 LT crew cab, super quiet and fast. Only complaint is it’s a rough ride compared to my 2010

I don't have the sales for Canada for the Silverado, but in the US in 2012, Ram sold 290, 000 trucks. In the US in 2012, Chevy sold 418, 000 trucks. But, if you count in the Sierra as well which is a similar truck, the sales jump to a total of 575, 000.

Make a 4x4 stick shift v8 truck for 20k

Those are sales in 2012. We are no where near done with the year 2013 so total sales have no been released. For Ram to make such a dramatic jump in sales or for Chevy to make such a dramatic decrease in sales in just one year is highly unlikely and next to impossible.

I had a 2016 Ford F150 and now Silverado. I will agree the F150 is for construction men but the Silverado is for your family and your vacation excursions. Iv always said the F150 is for work and the Silverado is for family.
