He was the cut-off for finals which means he goes on the stage up first early. And won the championship , his first worlds ever and winning it.

He won the worlds title before even winning Korean national title, as well as being the first ever Korean world champion (4A is announced before 1A mostly)

Against all the odds, Gun Ju Eom came to Osaka and squeezed water out of the stones to win at this young age
