The Lost Randy Rhoads Solo done by Anthony Glavan (15 years old)

Sorry, I couldn't get tabs! I based this around my own style of playing and what I know about Randy's unique playing style. Also worth noting that I achieved this tone by using the "Midrange Solo" preset in Logic Pro X along with stereo delay to simulate how Randy recorded his parts in the studio. Sorry it looks like I cut the video near the end; the video cut out so i put in footage from another take I did before that.

To everyone who wishes for me to make a tutorial. I'm sorry but I don't think it would do any good to make one. I learned it by ear and like one person here in the comment section said, you probably can't play it well if you can't learn it by ear. I didn't do it perfect in the video because I didn't try to play it exactly like Randy Rhoads. I did whatever I thought was going to sound similar to the original solo, but using my personal feel and interpretation on his technique. I also feel that this solo is a good example of how you can lose sight of what's great and fun about playing guitar by trying to play things exactly like others. If you can learn it with tabs that's fine (there's a link to them somewhere in the comments) but you'll gain more from trying to do it in your own interpretation, like I did myself.

Who needs tabs when you can slow down the video? Learn the rest by ear.

First time I heard this was on the radio. I knew after a millisecond in was Randy. Blew my mind. My wife and mom bought me the set with CD two albums and a DVD. I still haven't heard anyone who sounds like randy. He was one of a kind.

I was second guessing if this was a mimic of the actual solo, but as a guitarist I can tell when a player's fingers don't lie. amazing job

I agree 100% what you wrote, what makes genuine guitarist for me is the ear and originality of interpretation if it makes sense. I love music Teory, i love to learn it but the pratice, the ear and finding my own playing style is the final score. Your playing is fenomenal, tecnic style and feeling. Rock on

After all these years watching this... as a big RR fan... you did a great job here.
What made Randy's style so great was his technique combining: picking (stacatto), with slippery legato licks, chromaticism, wide bends, heavy vibrato, pick squeals, etc. not to mention his ferocious tone... He have us players like Diamond Darrell, Zack...

The best players use varieties of techniques in their playing
Hope ur still playing!! best!!

Speaking of lost randy Rhoads guitar playing, if anybody has the June 1981 of Indianapolis bootleg, please get it back on YouTube, I listened to it like 10 years ago but has since been taken down and I can’t find it for the life of me, it had some of the best audio quality of all the bootlegs of randy . And the guitar playing was top tier, children of the grave, the band jam after suicide solution, crazy train, I don’t know . They where all exceptional. Please !! It deserves to be heard again
