Thanks! I am making multiple drawings that will use the same layers and I wanted a faster way to get those same layers without having to create the same layers for each drawing.

Thank for the vedio, was great, i have a proplem though when i use ceter line layer or the hidden line layer the those line comes solid even though wile setting the layers i have selleced center type and hiddeen type, wht do you think otverriding this settings ?

Thank your reply it heled a lot. I want ti ask about how to save the dimension style setting so i can reuse on other new drawings . It does not come with the imported layers . I understand that it is not a layert but i thought it might come back with the dimension style. After you teach us how to save it and imported will it be imported with it override settings as well ?

AutoCAD is brutal. I'm receiving dwg files with dozens to hundreds of layers. Trying to extract one layer so I can import it into my GIS is like rocket science. There seems to be no way to export/import only one of them.

A easier way is to use design center and drag the layers from one drawing to another, just type DC at the command line
