The Marin Nicasio+ is such a great bike but often gets overlooked. Big tires, drop bars and a steel frame and fork are often on wishlists for some but can be non starters for others - we dig into all the features and why some people shop with preconceptions about this awesome bike!

Good review! Been riding this bike for over 2 years now & I absolutely love it, such a fun and no nonsense bike! I love the one by because I hate cleaning a 2x

This review really helped me to decide on the bike. Got Nicasio+ model and it's so smooth and amazing. Not super light like a aluminum bike but feels reliable. It manages bad roads well and light enough to just grab and carry into the house without a hassle. Thank you xxx

I think these bikes are all that most people “need”. I do wish Marin would improve a couple of the factory components on their entry level bikes - better wheels and better cranks. I had a 2018 pine mountain that I loved. I put sunringle duroc 40 wheels on it. I had a 2022 four corners but sold it to buy the 2024 model with the extra mount options, but I liked the 2022 green color better. I haven’t tried the Nicasio, but The four corners works so well as a do-it all bike. You can commute with it, ride to get a coffee, explore off-road or gravel routes, or use it for touring and bikepacking. It’s comfortable and strong, and very versatile. I think the biggest con is the low-end factory wheels that aren’t tubeless ready. I don’t mind quick release at all. I'm also a retro grouch and am more than happy with the TRP Spyres. I had them on my previous 4c and my Raleigh Willard 3.

I needed a second bicycle for my Mums place instead of packing up and flying with a bike when I visit her. This ticks all the boxes. I think for a lot of people this would be a great start and may even be all they ever need.

Is making an exact one year ago that I bought this same bicycle, I mean not literaly!
My Nicasio + brown color just changed a bit how to have even more fun riding a bike.
The WTB horizon tires were great, sofa feeling, so comfortable but once this bike put me more to offroad, one month ago changed for WTB resolute 650b x 42. Still very comfortable but this ones with more capacity for my offroad adventures! And yet fast and smooth on the roads.
Now it comes with new colors and look great and hoping the painting is better to prevent the scratches coming, for example, from the cables. My only downside.
The frame itself fits good, feels confortable and safe, sporty if we want to assume that posture. Basicaly it’s a bicycle that make us feel that we can ride it until the end of the World without problems, having lots of fun and without being worried if any component will crack or needs batery! It’s a simple bike for a simple joy as the life should be.
From Lisbon, Portugal.

I've owned mine for 6 months and after nearly 3000km my main complaint is the bottom bracket height, it feels too low and with 175mm cranks it is very limiting. It's clear the frame was made for 700c. Also, I'm having chain drops every now and then, the chain will just randomly drop from the chainring.

So I'm at a point where I'm considering investing in 700c wheels and shorter cranks, or just sell it and get another bike.

I would get one if these came with new CUES hydraulic breifter groupset and modular derailleur hanger. Just turn it into touring bike.

The description reads "bike tires" as a desirable quality. I think you meant "wide tires".
