What is the Marin Nicasio+?

The Nicaso is for the rider looking for something different and modern, yet with traditional steel construction. Classic lines and CrMo frame tubes have the soul of a classic bike, with the geometry and 700C x 30mm-40mm or 650B x 47mm tires to let riders handle any surface.

Just bought one for myself as a christmas gift. I like it a lot so far. I rode a Raleigh Venture 2.0 for almost 20yrs and decided to upgrade. I ride around my neighborhood, go to the store etc on my bike, plus i love being outside. Im planning on keeping this bike forever.

This bike is the real deal. I've already ridden it on gravel, road and singletrack and it handles everything beautifully. Handled the singletrack just like a rigid bike from the 90's, but better. Slick tires handled surprisingly well off road, though not meant for muddy terrain. I've ridden the Four Corners and other steel gravel bikes at this price point and the Nicasio blows all others away in terms of handling and versatility. Shorter chainstays are where it's at for gravel bikes, I hope others take note once the reviews start coming in.

Love mine just did a 900 km tour with a bob trailer. Perfect bike for rotten northern Saskatchewan blacktop and gravel. Was going to build up 700c wheels but the 650s have made me a believer. Now I just wish conti would make gatorskins in 650x48

I own Nic+ first and the a year later i buy Nic2. But i keep riding back the Nicasio+ for afternoon punchy ride because of so much fun than Nic2. Then my Nicasio 2 is dedicated for long km type of ride. I think i need Nic1 for flat pedal type-build. And also complete all the nicasio collections! I think this bike will be remembered and iconic in the next ten years

I want one but with tubeless tires with more tread. Love seeing steel forks in a world saturated with carbon

Hi, if I want to change the Nicasio+ fork, what kind of fork would fit with it? Do you have any tips for choosing a compatible fork?

I've got a Marin bike recently which has the exact specs of a Nicasio+ but with a blue frame that looks like Nicasio 2's. Was that ever a thing at some point? Regardless though, I absolutely love it, well done Marin!

Does a steel fork absorb vibrations as well as a carbon fork? Also, I would upgrade to some TRP Spyre SLC calipers, does this bike ship with compressionless housing or would I need to redo that too?

Hi, looking for my first marin bike here, is the nicasio+ or the gestalt better for daily use mostly on road, sometimes off road?

Is it worth buying it for long road trekking tours and add Front and back racks?

eally interested in one of these for my new direction of bike packing for charity next summer but, coming a long MTB life, I want flat bar. Are the gear shifters an easy swap for flat bar type? But, my biggest concern is size difference between flat bar an drop bar bikes. I mean, if I was to buy this with the intention of going flat bar would I need to ride a different size frame. On my MTB's I run pretty short stems but, I am completeley new to road an bike packing. Would the wieght of fork bags change my stem length requirements?
Chhers In advance for any opinions

Hi. What can be the average speed on road? Could it help me commute about 100 kms in the road in about 4-5 hrs?
