In my case it does not help. I already have an empty folder options.ini and cannot create a text file there, this one I need to create on a desktop and paste it to the game files. Since there is this folder I cannot paste the txt file. I deleted the empty folder and pasted the txt file but still does not work.

Managed to find this game after years and years couldn’t get it to load thanks for this! Works now

After multiple trials and errors i finaly made it!!

I succesfully transfer Lord of the Rings 2 game Battle for middle earth (BFME 2) to a new Pc with all data ang game progress saved

I had to copy 3 folders from the old PC to the new one (PC) in the exact same place/location on the os disk

1 os disk- C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II
2 os disk C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License
3 os disk C:\Users\name user\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files

i think the program data makes the game run and prevents it from crashing. Also the app data-roaming folder contains all game progress loads + the file Options.ini needed to open the game first time

i downloaded this game 10 hrs and then i could not get on internet with any browser - so i reset my comp and the download was gone then i tried download again and NO broser again DAMN SHIT - they cant even fix a game to work !!! - NOT DOING THIS AGAIN was a weird problem - everything worked but my internet browsers and of coarse the game did not
