You are seriously underrated for what you do. Very professional, and you have my highest praise for your simple explanation of how these things are important.

However, I was looking for a microscope for somewhat portable use, can support darkfeild and standard objectives and optical lenses for a reasonable price.

Essentially, something with all the usual bells and whistles for cheap. Not low quality, just around the 200$ range is my price range for now. I plan to upgrade, but I really would appreciate a professional opinion and some specific options to choose from that meet my simple demands ha.

Once again, I could not have asked for a better video. I hope to see more of this kind of content and the professionalism that comes with it.

And you bet I'm subscribed!

Keep up the good work, see you in the replies of this comment!

Hello. Thank you for the video. Very useful. How does achromat compare with apochromat? Thank you.

If objectives are interchangeable, why do the objectives that come with the scope matter so much?

Why is it "flatness" not in focus?

Ive been thinking of microscopy as a hobby, but i have a background in IT, not biology. Biology is just where my interests are.
Now i'm scared that if i get a microscope and use it, i'll have no idea what im looking at and will lose interest.

There's like one microscope manufacturer making unbranded microscopes in China, so a hundred other 'manufacturers' can slap their own labels on them and flood the market with them. Many are clones of the more popular reliable brand names. I therefore always purchase equipment from reputable sources, I learned that lesson the hard way. 🤔😉
