Spiders are everywhere....and I mean EVERYWHERE! In fact, there are SO MANY spiders that theoretically it is plausible to say "Spiders could eat the entire population of earth in about one year". Some may find that statistic terrifying, but the truth of the matter is we are very fortunate to have these little creatures on our side. If not for spiders, the world would be a much different, horrifying and terribly uncomfortable place to live!

Can you imagine that sweet faced velvet spider, or a jumper, trying to eat a human? 😂 I used to be scared to death of spiders, but a few years ago I rescued 2 very large wolf spiders from my screeching coworkers calling for their deaths. I work at an elementary school so while I was learning about them I was able to teach the kids about them too. I can ALWAYS find jumpers in my backyard during the late spring and summer and they are a big hit with kids of all ages. Now, after finding you and your channel, I have 5 t's. They've come with me to summer school a couple of times and the kids are fascinated! I love your videos and podcasts. You just have the best personality around! Thanks, Richard, for helping me educate and spread the love of spiders to another generation ❤️

I spend my breaks at work hunting for spiders outside on the brick wall and in the hydrangea bushes. There's always several species visible. I even found what I believe to be a new morph of Armadillidium.

I have a little orb weaver that lives in the space next to my dart frog tank, and she catches any escaped fruit flies. She's doing quite well for herself, and as far as I'm concerned she can stay right where she is.

Hi, Richard! As always, another great video. 👍 I love my spiders, indoors or outdoors. My granddaughters think I'm nutz. In fact, last night, I had rehoused my GBB and had her new enclosure sitting out on the table in my living room. One of my granddaughters spent the night and tarantula in the enclosure sitting on table near the sofa, next to where she was going to sleep, freaked her out. 😳 I laughed, couldn't help it. 🤣 ! But this afternoon, I'm moving a few things around, including all my tarantulas, as well as rehousing about 5 more spiders, and she gets to help. I should record her reaction. Ya think? LOL

Hehe I picked up my favorite scrunchy and put it on and my face got covered in spiders lmao. I assume I had set it down on an egg that dispursed that I didn't notice. I put them in my reptile enclosures because they eat the gnats, fungus flies and fruit flies emerging. They might take over but I think they are helpful buggers

I have spiders in my home. I think they are the cellar spiders.

Once I accidentally killed one, but I don’t bother them.

Sometimes I destroy webs, because they are everywhere, but I never destroy all the webs at ones.

They demonstrably catch flies that get in.

A lot of times I hear them desperately buzzing inside the webs.

Honestly, other people's fear of spiders is a big part of what endears me to them and makes me want to learn as much as I can about them. They're such fascinating creatures and definitely deserve respect rather than fear.
