Going from Sketch to Finished drawing (#shorts)

This is the super short sped up version of how I take a sketch and take it to a finished drawing in Procreate in under a minute (the video is under a minute, it took me longer to do the drawing.)

I know this doesn’t exactly apply to this but, the reason why he says use straight lines is because, when you use multiple strokes, that called a sketch not an outline. Sorry when I first heard this I was confused because every other video I watched said when you sketch you do multiple but line art you only use, well, a line. I’m dumb and I don’t have any braincells so this is for everyone else who don’t have any braincells left lol

If you use photoshop it’s called smoothing and can be found on the top of the window when selecting the brush tool. You can also decide how much you want it to smooth which can be rather helpful.

I learned how to do all of this on my own, so seeing tutorials explaining how to get started brings me a wave of nostalgia when I'd get frustrated trying to recreate on digital. I think it's awesome how it now may be easier for beginner (or even skilled) digital artists to get started!

Personally I love feathering, it gives you a lot more control.

Easy tip:
-take the photo
-put it on the draw app
-use the blending multiply in the layer
-put a layer under the photo
-paint under that photo

(You can paint without do a line art)
