The pencil sketch is essential to me. I make a clean sketch (no extra lines visible) simply because I absolutely hate inking with a pen. My hand shakes at the most crucial areas and there's no easy way to correct that. That's why I basically stopped inking with a pen and do it with a colored pencil instead. I might have to go over the lines a few times, but pencil is so much easier to control than a pen. Usually I darken the lines in the process of coloring, so it's not really time wasted. Picking colors and making swatches in advance is a given, who would want to mess up a picture by applying the wrong color, even if it doesn't look liked it in theory. Nice little tutorial for the beginners, I'm sure people will find it useful. 😊

READ ME. So hi. I saw the fur lines tutorial and it help me be a lot. In the tutorial you also talked about different textures, scales, feathers, hair. I would really appreciate it if you could maybe do a tutorial on them too. If you want to get that all done in one video I recommend using the basilisk from Greek mythology. Look up images and you’ll see. Love you sooo much!!❤️❤️

Please like so she can see! 😊

Sometimes in step one, where you said fix the proportions and things, sometimes I can’t fix it. I try time and time again re drawing it around 27 times literally! And finally give up to the point where the next one I draw that looks ok will be how I keep it. But I’m a pretty good artist for a 11 year old! And you have helped me a bit with my art journey as Well!

Lol my son heard you say bye.... And thus he also responded with bye lol thought that was cute (he's almost 2yrs come August lol).... I also do the sketch then ink, but I usually print out the inked version to color in case I mess up in the coloring process or if I accidentally pressed to firmly with my pencil... I don't like having etching lines lol

What’s your favorite Disney song?
Edit: she kind of reminds me of Katherine from the Guardians of Childhood series. She’s not exactly Katherine, but close enough!

I have a very hard time knowing when I've put in too much detail. Any tips on when to put a line and when to not? I hope that makes any sense.

It looks great, heh nice breakdown. ^_^ I like doing pencil sketches too and inking but often get too scared to color it in ^_^; heh especially with Markers! I don't know why the coloring is scarier then the inking for me.
