OMG I have forgotten about soldier! That’s an interesting blurb for Calgar. Keep up the great work Ash.

Useful trivia: Todd is a replicant, Soldier is set in the Blade Runner universe . You are very welcome.

FYI guys a space marine detachment is only one that is from the space marine codex. This is detailed on page 194 of that codex.

Nice! I'm really just getting back into 40k after about 10years away from the hobby. Looks like I picked a good time to get back in!

You may have not looked at it but i think all but one of the army box sets offered this December fit the narrative of this campaign.

Maybe something that GW could do regarding tactical marines feeling obsolete would be to have them also turn into primaris, but be veteran primaris as they have so much more experience over the normal primaris, say giving them access to the normal tactical marine loadouts, having a veteran primaris squad with a rocket launcher and plasma gun with the rest being normal primaris could be a fluffy but also game modifying way to get the regular marines not feeling obsolete,

So that would be for the normal space marines, but if you still wanted like specialty units like terminators or stuff like that, like the dark angels nights, those would have to be normal space marines as the primaris coukdnt fit in the terminator armor

I just thought of this while watching the part about the guy feeling obsolete, so it may not be a well fleshed out or even a good idea what’s everyone else’s opinion on this?

Space Marine Codex 401k: The Retirement Plan.

I guess that they should be glad that they aren't being given the Mount Ararat Thunderwarriors' Option.

Hey Ash, sorry to say, Deathwatch don’t benefit from the Specialist Detachments. Deathwatch have keyword Adeptus Astartes, not Space Marine. Maybe in book 2.

Thanks for the review Ash. I wasn't paying much attention on the Warhammer Community page so this clears things up. Not really my thing and also I can't escape the feeling that this release feels kind of rushed. Anyways, I'll be looking forward to your unboxing of the upcoming Realm of Chaos boxed set! Thanks as always for your effort ;)

Argh, I want Raven Guard to join the fight -.-

Pretty sure the Primaris Marine tactics are only eligible to those in the SM Codex. So, any chapter with their own codex can't use it.

Well at least my Sword Brethren models will get a purpose other than being base Company Vets again! Thanks Ash!

So with the indomitus crusaders, aggressors and reivers don’t benefit to the abilities???

do you know who isn't a captain (I double checked his key words)? Marneus Calger. Want to know who can't be in a victrix guard detachment? Marneus Calger

I may have missed it, but if one uses a specialist detachment can they have multiple of them? Like, an Emperor's Blade Assault Company AND an Emperor's Fist Tank Company? And do you have to use the Warlord Trait?
