You are using your filters wrong. ND filters are designed to control the amount of light entering the camera and allow for a standard shutter speed closer to 1/60th if you are shooting 30fps. You can't do this on auto. You need to set iso to manual and compensate by feel on the x8.

Thre is no overexpose camera with ND filter, so we have much more video information. Without filter we lost a lot of info in white color. Nice coparisson!!

This answered my primary question (do I need ND Filters) -obviously yes, at least in these conditions. Do you use CPL, and how does one set up CPL on a drone... trial by error? Also, you did not appear to suffer horizon alignment issue; as far as I could detect. Was it an issue with earlier FW versions? Thanks for a great A/B comparison!

One thing I cannot get. Why on earth white objects are so overexposed? On my FiMi X8 SE I experience the same and I haven't found a way to resolve this. Any idea?

Have you experienced any filters falling off, in flight or while landing? They don't exactly have the worlds greatest mounting system... or ANY system for that matter.

X8 dont have manual balance...so Filters at this moment in X8 are usefull

The dynamic range is too low... The mavic 2 pro or the autel evo II pro is much more better... And much more expensive!!!!
