How would you describe the tone of this tuba?

This is our newly launched Wessex Vienna Tuba, and it’s been getting quite the reaction online and in person at our expo events!

This is a Renaissance music MACHINE. These historical recreations are easily the coolest thing Wessex does, and I’m glad there’s at least one manufacturer taking that project seriously.

It's a sound that string, woodwind, and keyboard players will find more interesting and versatile than the typical woofy tuba sound. Perfect for smaller ensembles, recordings, and solo use.

I am 78 years old and have been playing a Miraphone tuba since the 5th grade. I am very sad because I have not been able to play since I got dentures. I am considering getting hybrid implant dentures so I can play again. When I play low notes, my upper dentures vibrate. Please pray for a fellow tuba player who immensely loves playing his tuba and wants to continue until the day I die.

It is either a Euphonium or an E-Flat tuba.

Sehr schöner Ton, voll, ohne Gekrächtze, saubere Ansprache. Viele Videos hier zeigen Leute mit höchsten Trompetentönen, auch extrem schnell, aber der Klang ist so grottig, dass man lieber hier zuhört. Ich finde, dass Klang Anfang und Ende ist. Alles Andere ist Zusatz.
