In today's video I showcase what $100 USD can buy you while traveling Rome, Italy. Italy is known for being one of the richest and most expensive cities in the world but does that mean you can't travel here on a budget? Throughout this video I showcase prices for out hotel, transportation, food, and some other cheap/free things to do.

Rome is one of my favorite cities in the world for its delicious food, history, and how it's relatively affordable to other parts of Italy.

As an Italian guy I'm really grateful for these kind of videos, because they truly show the beauty of my country. Nice work! Of course you couldn't know the city very well as a tourist, but I can assure you that you could actually buy much more with 100$. 9€ for a pizza Margherita is a lot, we usually pay it 4-5€, maybe even 3-3.50€ in some cities. Cappuccino and cornetto usually cost about 2.50€ together. The most beautiful part about Italy is that money doesn't mean quality. Many restaurants are really affordable and offer you top quality food, while the expensive places don't always offer you the same quality. And if noone told you: gianduja is a variant of chocolate, which has its origin in my city, Torino, in the North West of Italy. Gianduja has less cocoa and more hazelnut in it. It was born because Napoleon had put a commercial block to Italy and cocoa had become not so easy to get at those times. Gianduja is the name of the tipical carnival mask of Torink and the man with that mask used to distribute gianduja among the population during the carnival. Thanks again for your work, I hope you will come back to Italy soon!

I lived in Rome for 14y. Cappuccino is 1 or 1.5 euro. The first place you went to is considered to serve the best coffee every which why you paid double for that cappuccino. Rome is very much affordable, so many wonderful places with great food.

Hey Brett, thanks for another great video, you are doing a superb job in making both informative and entertaining content! I have to say your fan base in Lithuania is increasing and not only among my friends to whom I always recommend your channel, especially when they are bound to visit NY. Me myself, working remotely in London and living in Lithuania would definitely recommend you to visit our country at the Baltics for another $100 bucks challenge. Don't get me wrong, it is not anywhere near the cheapest country in the world, but it is for sure reasonably priced with what it can offer, which I am sure you would be surprised of!
