People who thinks he’s being a douchebag never worked in a restaurant. This is quite restrained for a Valentine’s Day

Some people don’t understand the pain of a massive Saturday rush, in the middle of a full bar and having to answer the phone for a stupid question🙃🙃

People have absolutely no idea how accurate this is, I’ve working in the industry for 12 years, I even use a variation of the first reply 🤣

You got to remember that this is taking place on Valentine's Day of all days

This guy would make a whole skit that people are just turning up instead of calling ahead and complaining about that

…so what should customers do instead? Seems like calling ahead is the responsible thing to do

"I know the owner"
"Me too, he cuts my paychecks"

I’m not ordering a drink, I’m ordering a angel shot. The guy in the blue is being aggressive.

Guys, it’s satire about the internal thoughts of concession/food and beverage workers.

Not a bartender, (though I'm tempted to get into it, ) but as someone who was a cook I've seen/heard this many a times. People complaining about this being "douche-baggy" have clearly not seen 'Waiting' w/ Ryan Reynolds, because if we could (service industry)-we would do this shit.
Imagine trying to do something to make people happy and put effort and still have them get upset and 'disappointed' time and time again---would you keep trying with customers you KNOW from experience will not be satisfied/will complain/will waste time, no matter how hard you try? No. Especially not when the place is full and there's tons of orders coming through. I learned this at my first job as a line cook working SOLO on prepping and cooking w two flat-tops, a grill, two fryers, a microwave, oven conveyor belt for toasting, condiments, etc. all of it just me. Now, when a place is PACKED and I'm lucky enough to be in a great groove, EVEN then I'm not going to waste time with strange orders/off the menu orders (usually truckers wanting something they'd get at home and have made a certain way). Why? Because the place is packed, and while I do/did try to put all the care into getting shit perfect (no greasy shitty food, plate presentation well to make it seem less "chain restauranty") like the Chef taught me to, I don't know/don't have the time to learn how to make some niche shit. Even then, it's not like I got extra money for cooking perfect; Never made greasy food, always clean plating, never under/overcooked, was never afraid to give 'extra helpings' to truckers/people looking like they need a nice clean meal. But sometimes customers forget we're people too; Sorry for the long rant, I just was reminded why I quit cooking for a profession. But great video, man!

Every bartender, servers, and customer service persons internal rage has been given a voice.

When somone says "I'm friends with the owner" just respond with "I don't know you" even if you're not the owner.

I'm imaging the very unlikely scenrio where they ARE friends with the owner and just the chuckle at that

Gotta call at least a month in advance for Valentine's day. 2 months ahead for mother's day.

It’s a rule of thumb (at least for me) to almost never call less than 24 hours in advance for a reservation or appointment. A lot of the time (not all the time) people are very entitled over the phone and expect the location to just bend to them. If you wanted to check availability or make a reservation you can ask “when’s your next opening for (insert whatever)?” Or “how long are we looking for reservations?” If you know it’s a reservation only location you’re never gonna get an affirmative answer if you ask about wait time or reservations day of. Lastly, if it’s a weekend evening calling can be irritating for wait staff since they simply dont have the time to stop and take a call but they have to make the time.

Anyway it’s perfectly reasonable to be irritated with his behavior if you are but I thought this would add some perspective

So instead of calling I should just show up in hopes of a table

I like how no one gets this is a SKIT. He doesn’t even bartend! He’s taking artistic liberties because he can, don’t watch if you don’t want to.

Lol most of y'all probably don't understand the satire about the video. If you ever worked at a restaurant, bar, foodspot and been doing it for a minute you'd understand the feelings that he is describing.

Of course you can't be rude to the customer, and of course this comes off as extra (that's the funny point of the video) if you didn't like the jokes then you do not have to be rude and attack this man's life, looks, or character for a video that wasn't even a minute long lol.
