Great video. It was the correct repair and you addressed it in 62 seconds. So many videos drag on for 5 or 10 minutes and could/should be quick and to the point like the one you created here. OUTSTANDING

Thanks! This saved the day. Long day of working and came home to a “dead” AC. Definitely not in the mood to sleep in a 90 degree condo.

You've done God's work here friend. I couldn't find a solution to this error 74 (error 23 on older models) being an intermittent problem ANYWHERE. Saw your float switch fix and practically cried tears of joy. Thank mate

You very well may have just saved my life.... & I work in a FL hospital, so coming home & not having my a/c working, could be a death sentence for me at 54. Ok, dramatic, but I did exactly as you showed on this video, plus changed my filter & like magic, it turned back on. I can not thank you enough!!! Sincerely!!!

Our contractor adjusted the drain for the AC condensation and the next day we got the error message on our Nest. We had no idea what the problem was and your answer was exactly what we needed to solve the mystery! Thank you!

After a solid 10 minutes of me flipping switches, breakers, and the bird at my Nest thermo, I pulled the float switch like you suggested and presto - air conditioning in Florida in August. Big high five my man.

Thanks for this info! Couldn’t figure it out, but found your video and went and gave the condensate line a jiggle and water began draining immediate. Within 15 seconds, the AC turned back on. You’re awesome!

I appreciate it, I now understand that error code is basically universal error code for system being shut off by a safety mechanism. Makes my life easier.

This video was absolutely detrimental to me at 11 PM at night, I cannot sleep without air conditioning, I know first world problems right!!! My unit had a safet T switch on my condensation line that was filled with a little bit of water causing my entire system not to function, I shook the water out of the safe T switch and within a minute the system automatically turned on itself. May not be a permanent fix that I need but if it gets me through the night with air-conditioning it is the temporary fix I want! Thanks Again

I had this problem today. I was freaking out until I found your video. We had a new HVAC installed and I forgot they put that sensor in. Drain pipe clogged as well. My shop vac wasn't making a dent, so I poured hot water down the pipe with the back running. So much nasty gunk came out. Thank you!!!

My Nest thermostat issue was exactly what you mentioned in your video. I pressed the drain button to pump the condensation & it immediately fixed the issue. Thank you so much for taking the time to educate us.

You are life saver!!!! My condensation pump was unplug and did not realize this would prevent the unit from turning on. Plugged it in, now everything works as expected!! Thank you!

I had a similar issue today after getting a new heatpump installed. I don't have a drain on the exterior of my house but I do have a pump in the basement that the condensation drains into. The thing was full of water, which had tripped the same killswitch. Upon tripping the pump manually, my error is fixed. thank you!
