Im loving the whole vibe of this album. Its got that what i call "dark pop" vibe. You know bands like Eurythmics and depeche mode. Love maynards versatility.

i love how everyone has their own opinion on what this song means, and that’s what Maynard wants from his listeners, but i know what he truly meant. this song is about a religious person realizing and understanding what religion really is and escaping from it, when he says “ you are broken but, you have, broken through, now you.. see right through the kings new clothing” he’s talking about being trapped in religion, breaking free and seeing who jesus really is, and when he refers to the underwhelming, it means jesus. jesus is the underwhelming, without religion or jesus, you’d be overwhelmed.
