Properly Clean the Black and Decker or Craftsman Stick Vac Filters! BSV2020G CMCVS001D1 BSVF1

Here's a way to get these filters as clean as possible!

I have used a similar method to clean mine before seeing the video. Instead of wetting first, I tap the filter to remove most of the dust and dirt then wash. The loose dry dust comes out better than wet mud.

Hey, nice and helpful video! I was wondering, is the dust collector washable as well? Or should I just wash the filter?

I used to do this but it used to drive me nuts sooo before getting it wet, I tap it (like you do) inside my garbage can & then get my slant tip tweezer & get as much as the dirt out of it & then rinse...I realize it's probably a bit more time consuming but it works well - 😊

question - the canister piece you snap your filter back into, is there a way to clean it? Cat hair has gotten caught & pressed inside that i can't get out...wish I could post a pic since my explanation sucks lol😂 I've tried pulling on the inside piece but it seems it's fixed/all 1 piece & I'm afraid to break it.

is the dustbin washable? because i washed mine and unfortunately there’s some water build up and i’m scared i washed it when it’s not supposed to be washed

My issue is cleaning hair and debris from the rotary and the tube from the stick to the rotary area. I use a wire hanger with a hook, but that's very messy. How can I remove the rotary brush for cleaning?

How do you access the motor at the top? Mine is making a super loud noise now and I can't figure out the source.

I have been wanting a stick vac for the dust that gets into the shop, do either of these handle that kind of duty life? I might have to just get one of the Milwaukee backpack vacs

My roller has stopped working any advice pls
