They also teach how you'll get mistreated and taken advantage of.

Whether it's fast food or retail, everybody should work 6 months in the customer service industry. Might help people respect these workers a bit more.

My first job was at a theater as an usher. It was a General Cinema Tri-plex. In comparing notes with my high school classmates who had fast food jobs, mine was less stress for the money. Back then we would have standing room only conditions in the lobby. We had to make announcements for the seating of movies and you had to project over a crowd, which boosted one's self confidence. No starting job is bad, not throwing any shade at McDonald's as a first job, just relaying my own comparative experience from more than 40 years ago.

I had a grand total of 8 guns pointed at in the 2 years I worked at McDonald's. It was so bad. The customers always act entitled and act like they are above the crappy restaurant they are eating at

One of the best friends I’ve ever had (who was also my manager at another company) worked for a McDonald’s for 22 years and he said he loved it. People always seem to judge those kind of folks, thinking they must be dumb for not doing something else, but I swear he was the smartest, kindest, coolest, most down to earth and friendly dude I’ve ever met. We would play wow together after work, he introduced me to so much cool music and beer, i really loved that man. Unfortunately I had to move 3000 miles away and we lost contact about 10 years ago, but my life wouldn’t be the same without him, so if McDonald’s had anything to do with how great of a person he was then that’s cool lol

My first job was usher at AMC. Hard work but it was so much fun plus free movies, popcorn, and soda for family or guest.

It’s also nice to have a McDonald’s franchise pasted down to you like you did.

A career out of mcdonalds you are literally going to be competing with 10-20 others for 1 manager position and will have to take on much more responsibility for an insultingly low increase in wage

He also said his Dad become a franchisee which has nothing to do with him being a hard worker he literally bought a location

My McDonald’s didn’t train me and would scream and get pissed at me when I didn’t know how to do something, so I just told them to forget it, I had only been working there 5 days, and they claimed I wasn’t allow to leave unless I gave a two week notice, yeah no. Maybe some mc Donald’s are better but a lot of them are shitty

That highly depends on your managers. I did fast food as a teen, and ill never do it again unless I have to. I would work for you, however, because you seem like an awesome boss.
