Hmmmm impressive, finally competition that will give every other provider a swift kick to the bum. Let's be honest, they deserve it.

Second month using Starlink in regional central Queensland. Purchased during the AU$450 hardware special. Real world download (using the Ethernet adaptor) average 200-250mbs, upload 15-20mbs during peak periods of the day. Has topped out at 350mbs in the early hours of the morning downloading Steam updates. Downside is the quite regular micro disconnects per day. I play a lot of VR gaming so can be problematic at times. Love the fact that i can watch UHD streaming instantly with it. Overall i'm very happy with the Starlink product and service so far. Old connection was FTTN 50/20

Best thing I ever purchased in the country, big up ya bum to telstra and the nbn that abandoned our Aussie town. They don't slow you down after 1tb they lower your bandwidth priority relative to others around you. In an area with few people no speed change is noticed.

It runs far better with an external router and the adapter, with all connections wired. TPLINK ER605 is the best solution I have found.

So far Starlink internet has been good. Unfortunately through an error in their system they have charged me 4 times for the dish and all my attempts to get a response from them to fix this have been met with a wall of silence. 7 days no respond via ticket, email or phone. I cannot recommend them on the basis of this.

I just ordered this and it costs $199 if your in an rural area like I am. I just had enough of playing games at a ping over 100ms on DSL copper, Plus I hate getting 3MBps.

Better than sliced bread. I joined Starlink, from Skymuster during the beta rollout, and have really not had a problem.

Does it work in bad weather? I live in the highlands in Tasmania we get thick cloud cover, rain and snow very rarely get a perfect clear day. I have a satellite messaging service that doesn't work in any cloud.

I subscribed to Skymesh a year ago. It worked fine for a while but now, even with the highest plan, there is negligible signal from 6:00pm to midnight so that streaming is impossible. I hope I have a better experience with Starlink

We are planning to live in a van full time, so will not be pausing the service at all. Can we get the remote one for $199 hardware cost at $139 per month or do we have to get the RV ($600-) one with $174pm. Also is it the same hardware as the remote one? Oh and thanks for your video 😊

We live in a country town in NSW. With Telstra we get a 7 mb/s download and 700 kps upload, through ADSL because there is no NBN here.

I get 270 down, 34 up. And 21 ping. But at just over $200 per month... is it worth getting? Saving $70 a month would be great. Plus if i take it with me, i can get that on road trips.

Has anyone had some gaming experience on starlink..? Im looking into it but am slightly worries about the average ping and the apparant frequent micro disconnects.. can it hold a connection for say a 20 minute game or will it drop me out with each disconnect..? 🤷‍♂️

If playing online games, in parties with friends etc. how badly does the “disconnection” affect that when it’s switching satellites? Is it enough to kick you out of games or just make you lag? And what about with video conferences, would the disconnection/reconnection affect zoom meetings etc. ?

Hi, thanks for the great review. I am on wireless NBN which gets 50+ down but only 2 or 3 up and I really need faster up speeds for sharing video edits etc. I am worried about the disconnects, as I Host long Ms Teams and Zoom training sessions. Do the disconnects mean I will drop the connection to Zoom all the time? Really appreciate some advice! Thanks again for the review 👍

Hi question I’m a gamer I like to play valorant I use to have fttn 100/40 which was good great ping and all but since I moved I live in an area you described I’m currently on fixed wireless 75/10 and keep getting a lot of ping spikes even on Ethernet my base ping is around 40 but doesn’t stay consistent it jumps to 100 even 248 I was wondering if it would be the same on starlink?

HI Thanks for the information and video.
I have question ( you did coverit abit ) if you know what's different between the Home starlink and mobile another than the cost . Can I take my house starlink out about in my caravan. You said the cost was more costly for mobile and you can switch off when not using it .
