Thank god this was only a Cat 1. We had 110 mph gusts here in northwest houston. Was pretty gnarly around 930 am.

Prayers to my fellow Texans and other people affected by Hurricane Beryl. They need to weatherproof our infrastructure. This is happening far too often to be comfortable living here anymore.

A typical Houston summer. Stay safe y'all, and we'll be happy to take some of that rain here in San Antonio when y'all get enough. I was really hoping Beryl would make landfall down near Brownsville so we'd get the rain this time, but nope.

I'm sure there's a comment here saying _"Oh it's a yearly occurrence, yadda yadda... Those who are heavily affected is because they didn't prep themselves early, yadda yadda... It's not a climate change, yadda yadda... It's not god wrath, yadda yadda..."_

Not being insensitive toward this hurricane in Texas, but the US is strong and will recover, but islands like Carricou are in so much need right now….resouces few…they urgently need help!

I would sell your gulf coast property now. Water is only getting hotter and the hurricanes will only become monsters. Wont be able to afford insurance or give it away in a few

Those are some third and World country lights.... Mexico has a better system for their street lights, this is shameful. It looks like they were hanging by strings.

_So We sent upon them a wind furious in (the) days (of) misfortune, that We may make them taste (the) punishment (of) disgrace in the life (of) the world. And surely, (the) punishment (of) the Hereafter (is) more disgracing, and they not will be helped. [Quran 41:16]_
