Hurricane Beryl makes landfall, just shy of Category 5 strength

Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Carriacou Island in the Caribbean on Monday morning as an "extremely dangerous" Category 4 storm, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Almost structures in Beryl's direct hit eye and outward many miles are or will be destroyed. I saw Hurricane Andrew's damage in 1992. It looked like a war zone. I will never forget! I pray and hope that all of the people in its path will get the help they need in the coming days, weeks, & months. Don't forget them! Tears in my eyes.

It was forecast many times in the past by the National weather service that a hurricane in front of another "system" regardless of strength has no effect on the trailing system.
