They asked Carlos to find the drugs find the weapons get the information. He did all of that. As a matter of fact, he got them to bring him the contraband! He did really well.

What ticks me off is Tony last season bought a LITERAL SHANK and was praised. But Carlos dares buy a pill and he's scolded???? I genuinely hate this sheriff. Dude has a serious power issue

The fact that they scold someone for scoring drugs during an undercover mission to find drugs and corrupt officers in the facility leads me to think even more like the show is staged, the inmates and jail is real but what the true intention of the show and participates is not what is portrayed to us. For example, it’s not advertised but from doing the math each participant makes over 5k a show but yet the money being a driving factor to staying in or not is never mentioned..? hence a man in ep1 missed his child’s birth because “he could use this right now” was the closest reference they’ve had..

Like Carlos said at the end, the sheriffs are in it to be stars. I actually think they would prefer him to sleep for 60 days, say their jail is amazing and move on. Sheriff is an elected position after all.

The fact that Carlos DID WHAT THE ASKED and it was only rewarded with controversy about how he does it, but in reality THAT IS HOW PRISONERS GET THE DRUGS IN TRANSIT THROUGHOUT THE PRISON

But those drugs are not being used as normal prescription and he’s really chastising for doing his literal job. Carlos is the only one who’s actually done something to get these guys info

Carlos is a regular dude, not a media trained undercover agent. The producers recruited a social media "influencer" . They're lucky he was the only one who recognized the influencer.
