The problem here was 'fear', the lady was scared of looking stupid by asking why they were standing up, she then feared being different, that is 'the other' if she did not behave in the same manner as the others. Add to this the current model of the education system where nonconformism is punished, subconsciously she probably also feared being punished for not standing up at the beep.

This just goes to show why we should question things we disagree with or don't understand, instead of unquestioningly conforming and obeying.

I was raised to never follow the crowd. My parents always said, "If everyone is running towards the end of that bridge, turn around. They will simply run until they drop off the edge. You're a leader, never follow." I've taught this to all of my children as well.

One way to test if someone is sheep, just say Conspiracy Theory before stating a reasonable statement backed up by evidence. If they laugh, they don’t realize they are sheep, but instead they think YOU are the sheep

This observational study may be based on an older experiment (written about in a magazine) back in the 70s. There was a boy standing on the sidewalk looking at the top of a tall building. (There was nothing special occurring up there). More and more people stopped to see what he was looking at and looked up too. Eventually the boy left but others continued to join and look up at what others were looking at. After some time some left while others joined in.

Not surprised at all by this experiment video... It's just reality, we see this type of mentality everyday no matter where you are or where you go! Whether it is in the workplaces, churches, etc.)🙄 This video actually shows how programmed people are without asking questions or thinking for themselves!🤦🏽‍♀️
