They fix a big problem from overwatch were lots of people want to be DPS.

Every Hero here has long range attacks, dodges and double jump it seems. Aside from that, the Items are the game changer here.

So even if Hero skills are basic, mundance, etc. Maybe the items can add additional effects with them.

Seeing that this is 3rd person Dota 2 and not Overwatch made me so happy, im looking forward to the game tbh

I was SURE this is just going to be another hero shooter until they go over the item shop. This made me remember DOTA more than Overwatch or SMITE even. In fact I think this is just Dota in third person. The game looks promising, though hopefully Valve learned their lesson and not make this an Artifact 2 :^)

It's cool to see Valve making games again, I'm just sad that they aren't giving the love to the other IP's (cs2 TF2).

( And the character design just doesn't click with me)

Im starting to think people dont know what a hero shooter is. Or the subgenres. Valorant and Overwatch are completely sifferent games. The only similarities being that they both play in the first person and have named characters you play as. The actual gameplay and structure of... everything besides that is different. They exist in two separate niches that are miles apart.

Update: I tried the game and yeah it's not necessarily a carbon copy of other games too bad it's still pretty meh

Playing devil's advocate here. People really like to forget Valve's reputation, this game is going to fall into bot hell the moment it releases. If they can't figure it out for CS2 or TF2, they aren't going to figure it out for this game either. They'll just add loot boxes and a battle pass like they did for Dota 2, get their money's worth, and let it decay like all of their other games.

I think it's a brilliant idea that each character is distinct and adds variation, and I appreciate that they didn't go for the cheapest way to attract players' attention by making them all excessive; there's plenty of room for fine-tuning and adjustment, as this is still in beta.

The item effects. Oh my god. That is replayability. it completely changed how the character is played what the fuck. how will they balance that? the active items are as good as character abilities what?!

im in love with this graphic style. It will make game look great always. Hope in the map will be verticallity not flat surface like in Smite. Cant wait to test the game by my own or to see gameplays from it.

I think you can do a combo with the second character where you pull in your enemy, plant a bomb on them, uppercut the enemy away and then shoot the enemy to finish him off.

17:12 I once tried to come up with a better ulti for Symmetra (instead of a sorry excuse of a game design she has right now) and this is EXACTLY what I envisioned for her hard light tech implementation. I though it would be to hard to make into an actual gameplay. Not too hard for Valve, though
