I'm 60 hours into my new playtrough and i feel like CDPR's writing finally gets time to shine. I just love the sidequests they do. The kidnapping quest with River, "Dream on" with the Peralez's, Chippin' in with Johnnny and the crucifixion with the prisoner turned religious. So many memorable quests! It makes me sad for the devteam, that so many people gave the game a pass because of all the issues. I'm absolutely loving the game atm. It may not be at the level of Witcher 3, but it is damn close.

Just a side note now in 2.1, after you do certain quests, depending on your choices, gangs will actually respond to your actions accordingly. For example, after dealing with Maelstrom in act 1, if you go in and kill everybody they will begin a vendetta against you, and depending on where you’re driving, Maelstrom gang members will chase after you in cars. Also now metro stations are available throughout the city!

This Channel is great. I found it searching for Baldur's Gate 1+2 Information. The video library is a gold mine and the new stuff is great as well.

I played this at launch and shelved it after an hour. I started a new run this week and simply can't get enough - having a blast with it!

I just beat the game for a second time. The way the city feels so alive now is insane. I loved just driving or walking around and feeling like I was there.

Just the amount of things going on in the city, the scale and scope, attention to detail of the city is impressive.

One DLC I'd love to see is the friendship V and Jackie had before Cyberpunk 2077. I really liked everything that character added to the game and hated it when he was written out. Yes we know he is going to die but give us more time with him in the game, not the cut scenes presented. They could make it happen after the initial character creation and go from there.

There is actually at least one really fun underwater easter egg type thing involving Meredith Stout if you ignore her quest or betray her.

I know this wasn't the intention, but having a story in the Cyberpunk genre that no matter what the characters do, always ends up in the same place at the end is quite fitting.

I've been replaying it from the beginning and I love the game. The immersion is really good, the combat feels great, runs smooth as butter (for me) and the environments feel alive.

One of the major annoyances I had with the original game was the static nature of the world. There appear to be random encounters but in reality they were just set pieces, like the ambulance at a crash site with flashing lights that just sits there throughout the entire game. I wonder if that has been changed now. Diving in next week.

I always enjoyed the character stories of this game. Glad more of it is fixed up so others will experience them.

I'm having a lot of fun with a stealth knife thrower build. Knives return after 5 sec, so equipping 3 and rotating them it's a lot of fun and looks cool af

This is exactly the viewpoint that I have had since around v1.5 and still stand by it. The game is great. But, so many people have forgotten many of the promises that were made that the game will never deliver on. It's great, but because it will never be what I wanted it to be, it'll always be a let down to me.

Night City is the most stunning city built in an open world game. Change my mind.

I love Night City and the game-world. After playing Starfield it was almost jarring to drop back into an environment that actually feels like a real city with all the nooks and crannies and stairwells and alleys. I always enjoy myself when I play this game and have done three playthroughs for the various patches, with the fourth on the way right now.

But yeah, it's a roleplay-light experience. Kind of the same approach that Mass Effect has. You get to customize the appearance of the character, get to determine the gender and background. But you don't really get to make roleplay choices. You will always be that smarmy, smartass merc. You can't roleplay as someone stoic or completely benevolent or someone unhinged with anger issues 'cause the voiced protagonist will always reply in the one singular way that you are meant to be in the game. It's definitely a flaw, but not one that puts me off this game. I still love it and find my time in that cyberpunk world incredibly enjoyable.
