Fixing my broken expandable garden hose again by cutting it short and reattaching to handle end.

I owned an expandable garden hose a few years ago. I guess I got lucky and mine lasted about a year and a half.

Sadly, I purchased a cheap $15 expandable hose at amazon. Literally after 4-5 months, the hose sprung a leak. To compound things, the manufacturer went out of business.

Sigh.. so I fixed this hose by cutting it in half... and then reattaching it to one end.

How long did my repair last? Roughly a month.. before it sprung a leak again.

Very thorough job adding the ribbon and bag tie. Mine has pinholes and i know nothing touched the area.

My 150 feet hose lasted 8 months. Because was hanging from the hose Bibbs and used to pull
the hose out while watering plants. I just bought a new one today. Now I am buying a 4 feet plastic hose
will go first then I will attach the 150 feet flexible hose but this time I will not pull the hose to water plants
or wash my car. In the winter I put them in the garage. $60 dollars for a 150 FEET flexible hose.

I'm trying to find the shutoff valve that goes between the hose and the sprayer head. Cannot find it anywhere.

How do you screw that fitting back on? Ours will not grasp the threading and it feels impossible.

My hose was leaking from the other end. Is it possible to fix it like your video?

*LOL* If is a fix using christmas ribbon and bread ties, I would simply be amazed. Maybe you have std water pressure < 40psi, which might hold. Mine are all connected to a 60psi, and they don't last but a couple of months. AND $50+ for this junk with multiple hoses with patches, and the damn things *still* break / split. I went back to several 50 ft Goodyear 3/4 in rubber hose that have lasted for 10+ years. So what if they are bulky. DONE with this cheap crap from China.
