I love 2-D's expressions while the rapping scene, because in the video it's been to fast to see properly. He's like scared and lost and it's amazing. I love it.

It's kinda interesting with how the final product turned out so different from the original. Honestly I'd be find with either one.

2:13 - 2:25 really got me. Everyone 2-D looks lost and scared, like he doesn’t know what’s going on, and Russel just has this reluctant look, especially with the cap covering his face that makes it seem like he doesn’t want to be there playing for the band. And throughout the whole thing murdoc doesn’t look happy, he’s just emotionless, like he doesn’t care about anything that’s happening and he’s just trying to get the song finished. It’s insane how the song is called feel good but the characters give off a totally different vibe.

this makes me think of how Murdoc pulled 2-D into his chaotic world and 2-D has no escape whatsoever. first Murdoc gets him injured as hell with the car crashes, then forces him to be in his band. then in plastic beach, 2-D tries staying away, but Murdoc gases 2-D and forcibly pulls him in again for his own selfish benefit. it makes me sad for 2-D.

This video conveys the story of the song much more accurately than the animation does.
You see 2D protest angrily to try waking up the drugged out apes on the floor. And the rappers silencing him seem more malicious.

I find it so cute, that 2D is like stressing out at the end when Murdoc is on the stage, but all I can think is....he must be stressing out because he's locked up in this tower watching Noodle on her floating island playing guitar and not being able to be with her.

This is my childhood. Gorillaz is so unique in so many ways. It's visual and musical aesthetic, the indefinable style and long lasting catchiness.  It's awesome that so many people come together to make it happen live. It's just fantastic. Long live Gorillaz.
