I am Bulgarian and she was NS(National Security) propaganda project. During communism my mother was able to visit her, when she applied for a visit they made her wait 3-4 months before she was able to visit the elderly woman. In these few months NS investigated my family for information, that information was given to Baba Vanga which made predictions based on that information. This happened to every person that visited her, it was a cheap trick, but it worked very well during that time. Most of the predictions she made and the "wisdom" she shared was bunch of Russian commie propaganda crap.

Doesn't make sense. Who walks into a tornado with their eyes open? Why would her father call her up to the mountains to take care of the family if she is blind, and they had already decided _not_ to take her to the mountains for that reason? First she'll be such a burden on her family that her own parents leave her behind, and then her father calls her, still just as blind, to _take care of them?!_ How's does that make sense?
Then the supposedly 'scientific study' consisted of asking the pilgrims who came to visit her if they felt she had been accurate?? That's _not at all_ scientific. Then she was telling a lady that the pills she was taking were from a woman doctor, though the lady said they were prescribed by a man. Then she predicted WWII _the day before it started?_ Did I hear that right? That's not impressive. It's usually pretty obvious that war is about to break out well in advance.
Supposedly she predicted the death of a neighbor named Peter... but by her own words, she only said, 'his days are numbered.' _Everybody's_ days are numbered. That's not a prediction.
So what's left? Just vague claims that she healed unknown persons?
