While they might not have been the most popular "speed" boots, for the last 2 years, many would make the argument that the Mizuno Alpha Japan was the best "speed" boot money could buy! And you'd need a lot of it, because it's also been one of the most expensive boots on market, retailing for $320! We now have it's replacement, but can the best possibly get even better?

In today's video we take a closer look at the new Mizuno Alpha 2 Japan, the 2nd generation of their originally controversial, but now well respected, full synthetic "speed" boots. They're still made in Japan, still $320 and visually, not that different looking. So is this a copy, paste situation from Mizuno, or have they actually gone and made them even better? We discuss the good, the bad, how they differ from the originals, and ultimately conclude whether or not these are a step forward or a step backwards for arguably one of the greatest "speed" boots of all-time!
