Lysithea is very much aligned with Edelgard on a personal and philosophical level, so it makes sense that she's willing to join her when faced with defeat. She's also pragmatic and doesn't have blind faith in Dimitri or religion to make her fight to the death, she's just defending her homeland.

Lorenz also eats any items you gave him pre-timeskip. I made the mistake of giving him an experience gem.

I imagine Lysithea is the exception due to being the only character outside of Black Eagles (Not including Ashen Wolves) that has a support with Edelgard.

What's interesting is that all 3 of these units have a master seal in their inventory when they are recruitable, something no other non-Lords have in their inventories. Except one: Ferdinand on the Great Bridge.

I wonder if this is indicative of him also being planned to be a recruitable defector at some point in development

Lysithea is also one of two or three characters that have 2 Crests to use. That was my first major hint to why she's closer to Edelgard than we think.

This is the game telling us that Lysithea is beauty, grace, and she can nuke you in the face so you should always recruit her no matter the route.

lysithea was a monster in most of my playthroughs. One of the only units to surpass all of the lords.

Oh thank GOD. Ashe and Lysithea were two units I NEVER want to kill. Ashe is such a little bro and Lysithea...yeah she can be bratty, but how would YOU feel after being experimented on and having FIVE YEARS LEFT TO LIVE?

I still fully believe that this game is held back by there being nearly no recruitable characters after the timeskip that weren't already students

It's pretty interesting how the only lord other than dimitri that ashe is completely loyal to when recruited is edelgard, at least in three houses

If you're playing any route that is not Golden Deer if you don't recruit Marianne into your army she just straight up dies offscreen

Lysithea really is an odd case. I wonder if she was designed this way in CF as a bit of a safety net but I don’t know about the balance of the higher difficulties to make a call on that.

People say Lysithea is like an honorable Black Eagle, and I feel like Lorenz is like an honorable Blue Lion. He studied magic in Faerghus, has beliefs in line with Faerghus culture, and has great supports with Sylvain and Mercedes. I usually recruit him whenever I play Azure Moon.

Funny enough my first run was CF base students only so after the timeskip, i got this Lysithea option. She filled a vital role in my small army 😂

Picking the Blue Lions allows you to recruit everyone except Edelgard, Hubert, and Claude. Recruiting everyone, allows you to save the most characters, as well as get the most signature and legendary weapons. You don't have to recruit Hilda as you will get a chance to save her later on along with Claude, if you play carefully. But recruiting her will get you her axe.

This saved my bacon in my first playthrough. I went in blind and literally wasn't able to recruit a single student besides Flayn (who I made my dancer... and then lost because I sided with Edelgard). Getting Lysithea was a much needed extra unit

You know I didnt initially like Lorenz, but I grew to like him alot in the warriors game, especially his OP Unique ability

I love Three Houses so much. It is such a fantastic game, and I'm glad you're still talking about it.

If the inventory management UI was a little bit better, I would call it a perfect game.
